Ducati has launched the 2016 Hypermotard and Hyperstrada at EICMA*. All three motorcycles, the Hypermotard 939, Hypermotard 939 SP and the Ducati Hyperstrada 939 will now get a 937cc Testastretta V-twin engine.
The new engine on the Ducati Hyperstrada and the Hypermotard models will produce 113bhp and 98Nm of torque. Power from the new bored out engines will be transferred via a 6-speed transmission and a slipper clutch to the rear wheels. The engine uses new cylinders, cylinder heads, and a new oil cooler.
Other features on the new motorcycles include adjustable front and rear suspension, Brembo brakes, Bosch ABS, adjustable traction control, and different ride modes. The front and rear get 17-inch wheels, and the motorcycle weighs 187kg dry.
The Hypermotard SP, on the other hand, features Ohlins front and rear suspension, magnesium engine covers, forged wheels, carbon fiber panels, and track-ready Pirelli tyres. As for the tour-ready Hyperstrada, the 2016 model now features a wider seat, side bags, taller handlebar, and a windshield.
