Benelli TRK 502 (500cc Adventure-Tourer) Unveiled At EICMA
Benelli unveils the TRK 502 at EICMA*. The TRK 502 is an adventurer-tourer powered by an all-new liquid-cooled, twin cylinder 500cc engine.
The engine features double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder and produces a maximum power output of 48bhp at 8500rpm and 45Nm of torque at 4500rpm. The gearbox is a six-speed chain drive transmission.
The braking system consists of 320mm double-disc with 2-piston floating calliper at the front, and a 2-piston 260mm single side disc at the rear. For the road version, Benelli will offer Angel Pirelli tyres: 120 / 70 — 17 in front and 160 / 60 — 17 at the rear. For extensive off-road usage, Benelli will offer a 19" and 17" wire wheel with off-road tyres for the front and rear.
Adventure-tourers require good suspension, handling and range. On that front, the TRK 502 is offered with an adjustable upside-down front fork, swingarm with mono-shock at the rear, and a 20-litre fuel tank. The front and rear suspension can be adjusted to improve handling, and comes with an adjustable travel range of 150mm. Like all new models, the TRK 502 is also equipped with ABS as a standard.
