Benelli Tornado 302 Unveiled At EICMA
The Benelli Tornado 302 unveiled at EICMA* is the first fully faired motorcycle from the Italian manufacturer since the Benelli Tornado 1130 that came out back in 2013. The Benelli Tornado 302 is built with a completely new trellis frame, helping the motorcycle shed weight.
Powering the Tornado 302 is the same 300cc in-line, two-cylinder engine that currently powers the TNT 300 motorcycle sold in India and other markets. The Tornado 302 engine produces 35bhp and revs till the 12,000 rpm mark, instead of the 11,500rpm mark on the TNT 300. The engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission and weighs 16kg lighter than the TNT 300 (196kg).

One major notable feature of the Tornado 302 is its new trellis frame with a plastic cover, which also uses the engine to be a part of the frame. This design has reduced the weight of the motorcycle and also gained 50:50 weight distribution.
The front and rear get standard disc brakes with optional ABS while the front rides on an 110 section tyre and 150 section tyre at the rear; both wheels are 17-inches. The Benelli Tornado 302 is expected to make an appearance during the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo and could as well soon hit the Indian market.
