2017 Geneva Motor Show: Alpine Unveils A110 Berlinette Sports Car

The Alpine A110 Berlinette draws power from a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 250bhp of power and 320Nm of torque.

Alpine has finally unveiled the new A110 Berlinette, a lightweight mid-engined sports car at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The new model is destined to rival the likes of the Porsche Cayman and the Alfa Romeo 4C.

The new French sports car is based on an all-aluminium platform, and it weighs only 1080 kg. The styling of the new car is inspired by Alpine's famed 1960's rally car. The entire car is mostly made out of aluminum.

The Alpine A110 Berlinette draws power from a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 250bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. The power-to-weight ratio of the rear wheel drive sports car is 231bhp/ton. The acceleration from 0 - 100 km/h will only take 4.5 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The powertrain is paired to a Getrag seven-speed DCT gearbox. There are also three driver modes such as Normal, Sport and Track, which can be selected according to the preference of the driver.

The suspension duties are carried out by double wishbones at the front and rear. The A110 rides on lightweight 18-inch forged aluminum wheels, which are provided by Otto Fuchs. Sabelt develops the one-piece bucket seats in the car, and each one weighs just 13.1 kg.
