Warp Drive Powered Arash AF10 Hybrid Debuts In Geneva
British carmaker Arash have unveiled the AF10 hybrid hypercar at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
The Arash AF10 is powered a hybrid powertrain that Arash calls 'Warp Drive'. The Warp Drive system consists of a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 that produces 900bhp and 4 electric motors (one on each wheel) that push out 1180bhp. Together they combine to kick out a manic 2080bhp.
The V8 sends its power to the wheels through a 6-speed gearbox and each of the electric motors have a 2-speed gearbox of their own.
The entire 'Warp Drive' powertrain weighs in at only 280kg. add this to lighweight carbon-fibre passenger cell and a body made from carbon-fibre and aluminium, the Arash AF10 is quite light.
Despite all this power, the Arash AF10 can do the sprint to 100km/h in only 2.8seconds and will maxx out north of 323km/h.
Prices for the Arash AF10 hybrid start at £1.1 Million and you can also make your AF10 into a racer if you pay an extra £100,000. However, you don't get much for the extra hundred grand — a roll cage, radio, fire extinguisher and lightning bolt livery. There is also a version with only a 550bhp V8 that sells for £350,000.
So this or the measly 1479bhp Bugatti Chiron?
