The 2017 Audi SQ5 has been revealed at the Detroit Auto Show. The 2017 Audi SQ5 gets a turbocharged V6 engine and differential technology that encourages the SUV to oversteer.
Powering the new Audi SQ5 is 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine producing 349bhp and 500Nm of torque which is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Audi SQ5 SUV can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 5.4 seconds and will keep on accelerating till it hits an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.
The SQ5 features Audi's optional sport differential which encourages the vehicle to oversteer as well as active torque control that can brake the inside wheels which helps the car corner faster.
The SQ5 sits on 20-inch alloy wheels as standard with a 21-inch option available as well and the front brakes are a massive 350mm in diameter.
In terms of design, the SQ5 features sportier bumpers at the front and back, new grille with aluminium accents, plus new vents and a diffuser to give it a more muscular look compared to the regular Q5.
Inside, the SQ5 features a leather wrapped steering wheel and seats along with brushed aluminium trim pieces. Audi's Virtual Cockpit tech is also available as an option.
The SQ5 will go on sale in Europe later this month at which time Audi will confirm the new car's prices.
