Volkswagen India Confirms 3 New Models For 2016 Auto Expo Debut
Volkswagen India has confirmed its product lineup for the 2016 Auto Expo. The German automobile giant will debut three new models at the upcoming motor show in Delhi. New models from Volkswagen is expected to strengthen their portfolio in India.
First will be an all-new product, which is being developed specifically for the Indian market. Volkswagen India is developing a compact sedan, which could be called Ameo. The model will make its global debut at the 13th edition of Delhi Auto Expo.
The second new product to be revealed will be the premium SUV from Volkswagen. The German automobile manufacturer will be introducing its Tiguan model. Volkswagen Tiguan is currently on sale in European markets and is expected to take the Indian market by storm as well.
The third product to be introduced at the 2016 Auto Expo will be the Volkswagen Passat GTE plug-in hybrid. The Passat GTE will feature a 1.4-litre TSI engine along with an electric motor. The combined range of VW Passat GTE is 1,000 kilometres and in the pure electric mode, it boasts a range of 50 kilometres.
Volkswagen will also showcase several other products at the 2016 Auto Expo. Along with the three new products, Volkswagen will also display the Polo, Cross Polo, Vento, Jetta, and the all-new Beetle. Stay tuned for more updates from Volkswagen India as the days lead up to 2016 Auto Expo.
