Triumph India unveiled their Bonneville series of Street Twin, T120 and Thruxton R today at the Auto Expo 2016.
All the motorcycles are powered by next generation all-new Bonneville engine family with more torque, exciting power delivery and a new richer sound.
The Street Twin with 900cc, delivering a massive torque of 80Nm @3,200rpm, a 18 percent increase compared to the previous generation. The motorcycle is engineered with 270 degree firing interval for smooth and linear power delivery through the 5-Speed gearbox.
The 1200cc Bonneville T120 features rider modes for better response and control, all remaining details remain the same. The finish, with brushed aluminium engine covers with bronze detailing has taken the motorcycle to a new level.
Triumph also showcased all new 1200cc Thruxton R, with the Cafe Racer look, it has been developed to provide the best handling and performance. It features an incredible detailing which includes the new Monza-style filler cap.
The company said they have created a set of 'inspiration' kits for the riders to customise the bikes, or the dealers can fit these as a complete set - these include Scramblers and Brat Trackers, to Track racers and Cafe racers. This includes a full factory Thruxton R Race performance kit, aimed mainly at closed circuit competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India, said that these three motorcycles were unveiled based on the result of the feedback received directly from the customers and he is sure of their success within the Indian market.
The motorcycles could be launched by end 2017 and prices have not been revealed as of now.
