Toyota To Showcase Its Alternative Fuel Vehicles At Auto Expo 2016

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is looking to showcase its range of alternate fuel vehicles at the upcoming Auto Expo.

Since the ban of registration for diesel SUVs with engines above 2-litre in Delhi-NCR has affected the company's popular models Innova and Fortuner, the company has decided not to tweak the engines and come up with hybrid models.

"We are looking at working closely with the government on how to improve hybrid manufacturing in India," said N.Raja, Motor Senior Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar

Raja added that even though the odd-even scheme may have resulted in minor difficulties, it had only increased awareness over pollution and it is a good opportunity to develop new eco-friendly, alternate fuel vehicle technologies.
