Renault’s New Edition Of Duster And Kwid To Be Displayed At Auto Expo 2016
Renault's best selling Duster's and the new Kwid's new editions will be showcased at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2016, which commences from February 5-9 at Greater Noida. The company plans to display AMT and the sports variants of the Duster and two new concepts of the Kwid -- Climber and Racer -- also, the limited edition Lodgy.
The Hyundai's Creta has taken over this segment which was initially led by the Duster, hence, Renault is looking to recapture lost ground. The entry-level Kwid has helped achieve a growth of 20 percent in 2015 compared to the previous year, it sold 53,287 units, which was mainly through the sales of the Kwid.\
The Duster is long overdue for an image makeover, however, Renault is only launching a slight change in the look with the variants of the AMT and sport. The Kwid which has taken the entry-level segment by storm, will be looking to add more fuel to the competition by showcasing the Climber and Racer, as of now not much has been revealed of the look. However, the name suggests that it could be something to look out for and it could include more SUV features and specifications.
At the Auto Expo, Renault's pavilion will also showcase its F1 racing car, the RS01 and probably some concepts. At present, Renault has seven models in its portfolio, which includes the premium SUV, Koleos. The French car maker has been aggressive in its campaign in India and has launched exciting models and is looking to carve a niche for itself.
