Range Rover Evoque Convertible Coming To 2016 Auto Expo
Range Rover will be showcasing its all-new Evoque convertible at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. The convertible SUV will be launched in India, not before 2016-end. Internationally, the Evoque convertible is expected to go on sale during spring of 2016.
Recently, Jaguar Land Rover revealed the production-ready Evoque convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show. At the global unveil, officials announced that the new convertible SUV will be sold in over 170 countries.
Powering the all-new Evoque convertible will be a 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine made of aluminium. The engine will be mated to a 9-speed ZF automatic transmission. Performance figures of both petrol and diesel engine will be similar to the regular Evoque model.
Structurally, the Range Rover Evoque convertible would not be as tough as the hard-top option. The engineers, however, will be providing the convertible SUV with Terrain Response System for its daring owners. Evoque convertible will be capable of performing off-road duties to a certain limit.
The Evoque convertible will be fitted with a soft top roof with a Z-Fold system. Range Rover has made sure that the entire roof will be retracted within 18 seconds. The roof can also be operated up to speeds of 48km/h. In India, the Evoque convertible will be introduced as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).
