Hyundai India Will Debut New Elantra At 2016 Auto Expo

Hyundai will be showcasing its all-new Elantra sedan at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The Korean-based automobile manufacturer previously showcased the next generation Elantra at the 2015 LA Motor Show.

The 2016 Elantra will be launched in the country sometime during the end of this year. Hyundai Motors will be offering the new Elantra as a premium sedan in the country, which will be sold as their flagship product. The existing Elantra will be replaced with a modern and updated version.

In terms of design, Hyundai will not be providing its 2016 Elantra with the Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy. New Elantra will borrow design elements from the G90 luxury sedan from the Genesis brand. The Elantra will be a sure head turner when launched in the country.

Powering the 2016 Elantra will be an all-new 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine. Both engines will be mated to an optional 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. So far, performance figures have not been revealed and could be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.

Several updates will be made to the interior, offering a more premium and luxurious feel to the occupants. The 2016 Hyundai Elantra will have an all-new dashboard with a Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
