New Fiat Punto Teased Ahead Of 2016 Auto Expo Unveil
Fiat India has teased an image ahead of the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. From what we can see, it looks similar to the Punto hatchback from the Italian manufacturer. The all-new hatchback is most likely to be launched in the country at the Auto Expo itself.
The image seems to showcase the Punto Pure variant, which was recently showcased in Mumbai. Fiat could finally introduce the pre-facelift version of Punto Evo in the Indian market. The Punto Pure was expected to launch in January 2016, however, Fiat has delayed it considerably.
In terms of design, the Punto Pure will be identical to the first generation Punto in India. Several reports suggest that the Punto Pure is a way for Fiat India to clear existing stocks of their older models. Interior is most likely to be updated with that on offer in the Punto Evo hatchback.
Both petrol and diesel engine are expected to be available in the Punto Pure. Fiat India is most likely to introduce the Punto Pure in a single avatar. Several features and goodies will be added to the vehicle so that it seems like an irresistible buying proposition.
Currently, the Fiat Punto Evo petrol model is priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh and diesel variant starts from Rs. 5.95 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). We expect the Punto Pure to be priced in between to make the hatchback an irresistible buy for many Fiat enthusiasts.
