Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Facelift Coming To 2016 Auto Expo
The Alto 800 by Maruti Suzuki is their entry level product in the Indian market. Now, an all-new facelift model is most likely to make its presence felt at the 2016 Auto Expo. Several updates will be provided to 2016 entry level hatchback to take on competitors.
For 2016, the Alto 800 will receive mild cosmetic updates for the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki will redesign the front and rear bumpers on 2016 Alto 800. Other subtle changes will also be carried out on the exterior design of the hatchback.
There are rumours that Maruti Suzuki could be introducing a diesel engine under the hood of the Alto 800. It is most likely to be the same diesel engine that does duty in their Celerio model. Maruti Suzuki could also equip the 2016 Alto 800 with an optional AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki engineers will be aiming at improving fuel efficiency figures of both petrol and diesel engines. The Japanese manufacturer is aiming at offering customers the 2016 Alto 800 with fuel efficiency figures that will be far superior to competitors in the segment.
Interiors of the vehicle could also be updated for a more upmarket feel. Maruti Suzuki could also offer customers the choice of safety features like airbags as an option from base variant itself. The 2016 Alto 800 is most likely to be priced at a starting price of Rs. 3 lakhs.
