Mahindra Verito Electric Most Likely To Launch At Auto Expo

Mahindra and Mahindra have showcased its Verito electric vehicle on multiple occasions. There is a high possibility that the electric sedan could be launched at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. Previously, the Verito Electric was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo by Mahindra.

Currently, Mahindra offers only the e2o model in the country within its electric vehicle portfolio. The Verito Electric will be a regular sedan that runs purely on electric energy. Mahindra plans on significantly increasing its electric vehicle portfolio.

Vehicle pollution is a major concern in almost every part of the world. Recently, air pollution in Delhi had drastically deteriorated which has forced a ban on the sale of diesel vehicles and an introduction of odd/ even vehicle usage.

The only solution for a cleaner and sustainable future is the wide acceptance of electric vehicles. The Indian Government has also provided electric vehicle manufacturers with incentives under its FAME (Faster Adoption & Manufacturing of Electric vehicles) Scheme.

Powering the Verito Electric will be the same motor that does duty in Mahindra's e2o model. The battery pack can be fully charged in a matter of seven hours. The Verito Electric could have a range of 80 kilometres on a full charge and could attain a top speed of 85 km/h.
