Hyosung GD250R & GD250N Could Be Seen At Auto Expo
DSK-Hyosung is most likely to showcase the GD250R and GD250N motorcycles at the 2016 Auto Expo. The new bikes will be their most affordable two-wheelers in the country once launched. Recently, both bikes were on display at the 2015 EICMA Motor Show in Milan.
Powering both bikes will be a common 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engines. The naked street fighter and the fully-faired motorcycle will develop 27.6bhp along with 24.17Nm of peak torque and the engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Several components will be shared between Hyosung's GD250R and GD250N motorcycles. Chassis, brakes, engine, instrument console, and several other parts will be common between both bikes to keep the cost under control. We expect pricing to be between Rs. 1.4 lakh to Rs. 1.8 lakh ex-showroom.
The GD250R and GD250N by Hyosung will face tough competition in the Indian market. Honda's CBR250R and KTM's 200 Duke and RC200 models will give Hyosung a run for its money. Both Hyosung models will be locally assembled by DSK MotoWheels in Pune.
DSK-Hyosung has not provided a launch date so far for its GD250R and GD250N models. We can expect these products to be launched soon after their unveil at 2016 Auto Expo. Stay tuned for more updates leading to the biggest automotive event in the country.
