Auto Expo 2016: Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Growls its Way Into India
Chevrolet has unveiled the seventh generation Corvette sports car, known as the Corvette Stingray in India at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Engine And Gearbox Details

- Torque - 624Nm@ 4600rpm
- 0–100km/h - 3.7seconds
- Top Speed - 291km/h
The Corvette is available with either a 7-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Styling
The Corvette Stingray's styling is all done to increase the performance of the car. So it features a huge grille up front which sits quite low on the car.
The headlamps look quite sharp and have LED Daytime Running Lights integrated into them. The Bonnet is quite sculpted and features an intake for the V8 underneath.
The rear of the car sees a small fixed spoiler attached to the boot while the the angular taillamps are accompanied by air vents to help cool the rear brakes.
The interiors of the ccar feature a lot of leather while the centre console is dominated by the touch-based infotainment system. Behind the wheel sits a small tft screen which is dominated by a rev counter while the speedo, engine temperature gauge, and the fuel gauge are all analogue.
Availability And Rivals
Chevrolet has not given any details about the Corvette's entry into India but if it does land in the country, it is expected to go up against the newly launched Nissan GT-R and Porsche's 911 range.
