Sachin Tendulkar Launches BMW X1 In India At Auto Expo

BMW has launched the BMW X1 SUV in India. The X1 was unveiled by Indian Cricketing Genius, Sachin Tendulkar. Prices for the smallest BMW SUV start at Rs. 29.90 lakhs, ex-showroom (Delhi).

Variants And Prices

The BMW X1 is currently available with a diesel engine in India. A petrol powered variant is expected to launch later this year.

Engine And Gearbox Details

Currently, BMW is only offering the X1 with a diesel engine in India.

The engine is mated to a eight-speed steptronic automatic transmission.

Design

The new X1 features a larger BMW-signature kidney grilles up front as well as larger air intakes. Also present are the hallmark X series models feature the 'three-eyed' face formed by the twin circular LED headlights and the fog lamps.
The rear of the X1 compliments the muscular look of the front with the angular taillamps an two tailpipes sticking out under the cladded rear bumper. Also available are 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
The interior features BMW's i-drive system along with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with leather seats. The BMW X1 xDrive20d M Sport ups the screen size to 8.8 inches.
