Benelli is showcasing the TRK 502 Adventure tourer motorcycle for the very first time in India at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Engine And Gearbox
- Engine Capacity & Type - 500cc, oil-cooled, inline twin with dual overhead camshafts
- Power - 48bhp @ 8500 rpm
- Torque - 45Nm @ 4500 rpm
Suspension & Brakes
The TRK 502 features upside down adjustable 50mm forks up front and a pre-load adjustable rear mono shock.
Braking duties are handled by 320mm twin floating disc brakes with a four-piston caliper up front while the rear has a 260mm single disc with a two-piston caliper both of which are assisted by ABS.
With its long suspension travel and the high ground clearance along with the upswept exhaust and high handlebars, the TRK 502 looks like a typical adventure tourer only a bit smaller in size. The twin headlamps is typical of Benelli but it does make the TRk look rather cool when you look at it from the front.
Availability & Rivals
The TRK 502 is expected to land on Indian roads later this year with an expected price of around Rs. 5 lakhs. The only major competition for the Benelli TRK 502 is the Suzuki V-Strom 650 which offers a larger engine engine at around the same price bracket.
