Auto Expo 2014: Renault KWID Concept, Fluence & Koleos Facelift
Renault has on display a really interesting and fun looking concept car at the Auto Expo called the KWID. The KIWD concept that looks like a mix between a beach buggy and a crossover is the first Renault global premier that's taken place outside Europe.
More Updates From Auto Expo 2014
Also showcased by Renault today are a special edition Duster, the new Fluence and the new Koleos SUV, both of which get the new face of the car maker.
The KWID concept has been jointly developed by Renault's international and Indian design houses and has been designed keeping Indian requirements in mind.
The KWID concept features scissor doors and can seat five people in an unconventional 3+2 seating configuration, with the driver seated at the center.
The KWID concept is a first of its kind as it comes with a Flying Companion which takes off from the roof. This flying gadget (with both auto-pilot and manual controls) can be used for various purposes including scouting the road ahead.
The KIWD concept has a 1.2 liter turbodiesel engine. But it can also be equipped to run on electricity.
Both the 2014 facelifted Fluence and Koleos models get the new Renault family front face which, though being a minor change makes the cars look sportier and appealing than before.
The Koleos facelift price starts at INR 22,32,999 and goes up to INR 26,18,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Lastly, the special edition Duster on display is not based on the facelifted version, but on last year's model.
This special edition Duster is off-road themed as is evident from the exterior fitments and the graphics.
